Breaking News: NSW Legislative Council Inquiry says NO TO METRO SOUTHWEST and calls on government to Restore Inner West Line - Liverpool via Regents Park, Save T3 Bankstown Line and release the full Business Case.
We have saved 9 stations west of Bankstown from being shut down and it is encouraging that the NSW Government is beginning to plan for restoring our direct train services.
The NSW Government must stop with its wanton destruction of local heritage and stop its privitisation of our public transport services.
The Sydenham to Bankstown Conversion Inquiry also reported that community groups "faced unacceptable difficulties trying to access information from the NSW Government about the project, including via public access requests to government information (GIPAA)".
Thank you also to our supporters, volunteers and community partners such as The Battler, Sydenham to Bankstown Alliance, EcoTransit Sydney, Keep Our Area Suburban, Fix NSW for the continued assistance in the campaign to improve our public transport.
We will continue to advocate for improving transport connections and supporting our local communities.
